Senior Consultant, Strategy and Facilitation + Manager of Marketing Strategy

Fathom Consulting is looking for an experienced consultant and proven strategist who can skillfully use human-centered techniques to guide key stakeholders through decision-making processes, create alignment and forward momentum, and develop and oversee the implementation of a variety of strategic initiatives.

In this role, you will lead client-facing projects, facilitate strategic conversations and decision-making processes, design and lead workshops, leverage knowledge of change management and organizational development to create and implement project approaches and plans, and manage programs and projects that help improve our clients’ products, services, operations, and experiences.  

Additionally, this role will collaborate with the firm’s leadership to evolve and help execute Fathom’s marketing strategy to amplify our marketplace presence and enable growth. You will lead the firm’s efforts to effectively tell the Fathom story to our target audience, drive our content marketing, and create general marketing communications and sales collateral.

About this Role

As part of the Fathom team, you will:

Consulting

  • Accurately identify and effectively frame client business problem(s) to be solved and develop project approaches to tackle the problem.
  • Leverage strong facilitation skills, change management techniques, and conflict management skills to identify and address critical strategic issues and help clients make decisions in a structured, human-centric way.  
  • Plan, design, and conduct stakeholder analysis, leadership interviews, and competitive research.
  • Integrate knowledge of organizational development, team health, and psychological safety into leadership of strategic initiatives and client facilitation.
  • Demonstrate a logical, rigorous, and analytical problem-solving approach, working directly with the client, preparing and delivering client presentations and work products.
  • Create high-quality, well-structured, and user-friendly deliverables and clearly communicate analysis and recommendations.
  • Serve as a primary face to the client, driving projects forward as a day-to-day project manager, responding to client needs with creativity and flexibility, and ensuring high quality delivery and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including developing and maintaining relationships with current, former, and prospective clients and crafting project approaches and proposals.

Marketing

  • Maintain and evolve the Fathom brand strategy—developing key messages that speak to Fathom’s value and resonate with our target market, and supporting and coaching others in the firm in communicating to external audiences.
  • Lead the development of marketing communications and sales tools and collateral.
  • Develop and ensure the execution of Fathom’s content marketing efforts, including case studies, blog posts, whitepapers, and other thought leadership pieces.
  • Collaborate with firm leaders to develop demand and lead generation approaches to maintain and grow Fathom’s general marketplace awareness, help the firm stay top of mind and deepen credibility with existing clients, and connect with potential clients.
  • Identify and oversee external marketing partners, as needed.

Relevant Experience and Mindset

You have:

  • Deep experience planning and delivering business strategies, leveraging methods like strategic facilitation, process improvement, organization development and design, change management, and/or human-centered design.
  • Demonstrated experience with workshop design and facilitation, stakeholder management, project management, and implementation of complex, cross-functional, high-stakes initiatives.
  • Ability to convey complex information and communicate well across all mediums (visual, written, verbal).
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior executives.
  • Experience working within a variety of industries and company sizes (startup to Fortune 500).
  • Experience working in a consulting or agency environment.
  • Experience in at least one healthcare industry segment; e.g., pharmacy/payer/provider/med tech.
  • Experience developing and executing B2B marketing strategies.
