Fathom welcomes design strategist and service designer Daisy Morin to our expanding human-centered consulting team

Daisy-Morin

Daisy’s background in service design, marketing, medical device, and non-profit work will facilitate new approaches for Fathom clients.

From California to London to Boston to right here in Minneapolis, we’re thrilled to welcome Daisy Morin to the Fathom team! With a wealth of experience in design strategy and service design, Daisy brings a unique blend of skills and a passion for creating meaningful experiences across diverse industries.

Before joining Fathom, Daisy served as a design strategist for healthcare products and services at Philips, where she developed new concepts for provider burnout prevention and improved delivery for hospital patient monitoring. Daisy's journey into the design space started from a background in non-profit marketing and management, where she saw a need for human-centered thinking in advancing social change.

What drew Daisy to Fathom? “Everything about it!” she says. "I love the human-centered approach to problem-solving, the opportunity to improve experiences and lives in both healthcare and other areas, and the culture here. When I was thinking about what kind of design work I wanted to do after grad school, it was this. Fathom checked literally every box for me and then some.”

Daisy’s best skills lie in her ability to make order from chaos and guide teams from complex challenges to actionable insights and strategies. She thrives on the “fuzzy front end” of design—where ambiguity meets creativity—and enjoys co-designing approaches that empower end-users to shape solutions.

“When we met Daisy, we were immediately drawn to her empathy for users and ability to think strategically about how to design products and services to meet user needs,” says Fathom CEO and Managing Principal Kate McRoberts. “She embodies the culture we’ve built at Fathom and the value we bring our clients: empathy, experience, creativity, and expertise. And, quite honestly, she’s just a wonderful human being!”

Co-workers and friends describe Daisy as someone who always keeps the end-user front and center in projects. She's excited to collaborate with the talented team at Fathom and further develop her skills in human-centered design, and the Fathom team is excited to learn from her!

"Working with Daisy on projects, you can see how focused she is on providing great work that matters in the world and helping our clients fully understand their users,” says Kat Jayne, a principal consultant at Fathom. “She is organized, insightful, empathetic, and passionate about service design. All these traits lead to momentum and clarity for our clients on their important projects.”

Outside of work, Daisy is happiest when she’s exploring the great outdoors, whether it’s hiking in the wilderness or enjoying a cozy coffee outside on Sunday mornings. New to Minnesota, she's looking forward to exploring the vibrant Minnesota summers, including a hiking and canoeing trip to the Boundary Waters and indulging in the delights of Art-A-Whirl and the Minnesota State Fair. She's a strong advocate for work-life balance and is passionate about causes that promote societal well-being.
