With all the ambitious change management, strategy, and research initiatives our clients have been sharing with us, Fathom knew we needed the help of the one and only… Dr. Stark! Fathom is pleased to announce Toccara Stark, EdD as the newest senior consultant on our rapidly growing team. In her role, Toccara will partner with clients in bringing organization, effective communication, and leadership to complex initiatives.

Many of our clients are working to drive big changes in their companies and industries while facing workplace and marketplace upheaval,” says CEO & Managing Principal Kate McRoberts. “We’re excited to leverage Toccara’s deep experience in change management, organizational development, and communications to partner with our clients in finding clear pathways forward on their most important and challenging initiatives.”
Toccara’s multi-disciplined career and education background have equipped her with the diverse skillset Fathom’s clients count on to support their work. In addition to her doctorate in Organization Development from the University of St. Thomas, Toccara has been a strategic leader in marketing, communication, and change management roles across several industries, including recent roles as Global Marketing Communications Strategist at 3M and as Vice President of Marketing and Communication at St. Catherine University. In each of her roles, Toccara has learned the value of bringing unity and clarity to teams to support their shared work.
“Coming from a marketing and communications background, you learn the importance of understanding the perspectives and needs of every member of the team, including the stakeholders that might not be in the room,” says Toccara. “Teams in which every person can contribute and have a shared goal are happier, healthier, and more creative. I’m excited to join the Fathom team and share my skills and experience to help clients achieve their goals while helping them strengthen their teams and businesses.”
In addition to her multi-faceted skillset and career experience, the Fathom team was drawn to Toccara’s natural energy and joy for organizational development. A self-described “team cheerleader,” Toccara thrives on mobilizing teams and creating opportunities for every team member to contribute. “I’ve had a love for change management and organizational development for a long time; I find a lot of joy in teaching it, learning about it, and working with others to help every person have a voice and place in their organization,” she says.
Outside of work, Toccara enjoys many opportunities to use her strategic leadership skills serving in board and volunteer roles with Twin Cities library and local arts organizations. On evenings and weekends, she enjoys “Zen moments” of baking and reading while managing a busy family life with her husband, Mike, twin toddlers, and two dogs. You might find Toccara around the Twin Cities shopping for antiques, looking for items of interest at estate sales, and taking the family boat out in the summer.
