Fathom welcomes Logan Wang in new hybrid consulting and firm marketing role

Logan Wang, senior consultant

Logan will not only execute human-centered engagements for clients but also elevate Fathom’s marketplace presence as the firm’s first named marketing leader.

Fathom is growing! And by that, we mean literally—as nearly six-foot-two Logan Wang joins our team as our newest senior consultant (and now tallest employee)! Logan will focus on a variety of research, strategy, and facilitation engagements for our clients while also serving as the firm’s marketing leader.

“The past few tumultuous years have brought so much disruption in the ways we connect with each other and with customers. Fathom’s focus on bringing forth human perspectives is resonating with our clients more than ever,” says CEO & Managing Principal Kate McRoberts. “We’re thrilled that Logan will be able to help us broaden our reach and tell the story of why human-centric thinking works and is deeply needed in so many parts of business today.”

For this new combined role, Logan brings complementary consulting and marketing experience—most recently leading clinic workflow improvements, physician education, and marketing and outreach efforts for a large Midwest healthcare provider. Previously he served as Director of Strategy and Design for a hybrid marketing agency + consultancy that partnered with healthcare clients nationwide. The throughline for Logan has been experience design and is what led him to seek out a position at Fathom Consulting.

“Experience design has always been an area of interest for me, and across my career I’ve looked for learning opportunities to explore and practice it. A Harvard Business School article—‘Welcome to the Experience Economy’—has been seminal to my perspective. Fathom’s focus on human-centered design immediately jumped out at me as a match with my beliefs about marketing and my beliefs about the centrality of the human customer in business and healthcare interactions,” says Logan. “I’m excited to learn from new colleagues and clients and apply my years of experience design development to help grow more human-centered products and businesses.”

In addition to his spot-on professional experience and commitment to human-centric decision making, Logan’s pastoral degree from Luther Seminary caught the team’s attention. “His ability to listen, connect with others, synthesize multiple viewpoints, and achieve harmony will support Fathom’s growing facilitation practice,” says Laurie Le Moine, the firm’s growth leader.

Alongside his professional life, Logan enjoys finding harmony raising two teenagers in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities alongside his wife, Denise, playing basketball and tennis, rewatching classic movies, and achieving balance between his 50/50 Swedish/Norwegian heritage. (Fun fact: Wang is a variant spelling of Vang and derived from Old Norse word meaning “field” or “meadow.")
